Putting his Brand on Murchison

Iconic pub, the Murchison East hotel, is aiming to bring back its glory days by hosting country music singer Adam Brand’s Milestones Tour in November.

The pub will host the tour, which includes Brand’s greatest hits in celebration of a 20-year anniversary, alongside two supporting acts.

Pub owner Paul Golding said pub regular and family friend Jason Stirling who was a ‘‘country nut’’ saw the call out on Brand’s Facebook page to find iconic country pubs to tour at.

‘‘Adam gave me a call and he loved what we were about, he wanted to tour to genuine country towns and we’re very excited to have him,’’ Mr Golding said.

Mr Golding said November would become a deadline to get the pub up to scratch.

‘‘We bought the pub eight months ago, pulled it down and put it back together with the aim to create a destination for travellers,’’ he said.

‘‘Having Adam Brand here will be the start of what’s to come.’’

Mr Golding said the gig would include a fun-filled day of music, activities and food.

‘‘We want to take the pub back to its iconic battle of the bands days and provide a real event for everyone, including a jumping castle and face painting for the kids,’’ he said.

Adam Brand’s Milestones Tour will be held at the Railway Hotel in Murchison on Sunday, November 18.

Doors will open noon with the show to start from 2pm.

Entry is $35 adult, $25 children and under 12 free.
